Mr. Maher defends federal employees in workplace matters and has consistently achieved favorable results. He gained many of his skills when he was appointed as the Senior Executive Service (SES) General Counsel for the US Office of Personnel Management.

During his tenure during the last Presidential Administration, he led the Office of the General Counsel and handled labor and employment matters involving federal agencies, administrative judges, the MSPB, and federal courts.

Specific matters include adverse actions for employee performance, discipline for misconduct, merit systems practice, employee appeals, grievances, and judicial review, suspensions, terminations, equal opportunity, discrimination, reprisals.
