Our firm concentrates on issues involving the federal government, to include government contracts, defending federal employees, defending military personnel, representing prime and sub-contractors seeking payment, security clearances, and federal programs.
We also represent police officers in the many issues which may present, including excessive force, 4th amendment claims, and officers facing discipline. Our practice extends to estate planning (wills, powers of attorney, medical directives, trusts) and small business law as well as some domestic relations cases.
John and Misbah assist contractors with all aspects of US and Afghan government and commercial contracts.
Mr. Maher has practiced criminal law over the past 18 years. He has been involved in hundreds of investigations, and prosecuted, as first-chair, approximately 50 courts-martial to verdict and sentence while serving with the 1st Infantry Division in Germany and the Balkans.
Mr. Maher defends federal employees in workplace matters and has consistently achieved favorable results. He gained many of his skills when he was appointed as the Senior Executive Service (SES) General Counsel for the US Office of Personnel Management.
Mr. Maher has extensive experience in the funeral industry and is a partner is a local, family-owned and operated business. Drawing up this experience and understanding of these unique needs, he is able to draft wills, powers-of-attorney, create trusts, and counsel on probate matters.
